Şila Temizel graduated from Yıldız Technical University, Department of Chemistry in 2012 and Yıldız Technical University, Department of Environmental Engineering in 2013. She has double major and honor degree from the same university. She attended LLP-Erasmus Programme between the years 2009 and 2010 in Universidade do Minho, Portugal and continued her Chemistry studies there. In 2013, she started her graduate studies in Boğaziçi University, Institute of Environmental Sciences, Environmental Technology department and started working as a researcher at Boğaziçi University, Sustainable Development and Cleaner Production Center (BU-SDCPC) in 2014. Further, she is the founding member and national representative of Turkey network in United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network | Youth since 2015. Her research areas are sustainable production and consumption applications, ecolabelling, cleaner production applications, life cycle assessment of products/processes and sustainability approaches.
SDSN Youth encourages young people around the world to prioritize the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development by providing a global platform for them to advocate for change, and formulate solutions and pathways for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
