Biography

Founder of the Turkish Women’s international Network

Melek Pulatkonak is the Founder and Curator of the Turkish Women’s International Network. She is an entrepreneur, curator and TEDster. Most recently, she worked at Microsoft’s Global Startup Business Team and held the Developer and Platform Evangelism Lead position at Microsoft Turkey. Before that she was the President & COO of Hakia, a semantic technology company in New York. Before joining hakia, she was the Associate Partner of Star Venture Group (SVG). Prior to her work at SVG, she was the Advisor to the Chairman of the Istanbul Stock Exchange and a Research Associate at the New York Stock Exchange. She holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a B.Sc. degree from London School of Economics and Political Science.

The Turkish Women’s International Network is a sisterhood for change. Our change maker programs – Web TV, mentoring and CampusWIN- are in action in seven cities: Istanbul, Ankara, London, Zurich, New York, Boston and San Francisco.
