Derya Büyüktanır, received her MA degrees from Middle East Technical University, European Studies department (2006) and from Gazi University, Turkey and European Union Relations department (2005). She worked in the project of METU Center of Excellence supported by the European Commission. She conducted academic studies in countries such as Czech Republic, Italy and United Kingdom. After earning her Ph.D. from department of the Economics and the Internal Relations of the European Union at Ankara University she worked as a post-doctoral researcher at Georgetown University in the USA for one year. She has published articles in books and journals and attended various national and international conferences. Apart from her academic works, she has actively worked in civil society organizations since 2001. She has working experience on different national and international projects as a coordinator, trainer or participant.
